Ian has led Senex Energy as CEO since 2010, navigating the business through significant growth and transformation. Ian’s leadership has seen Senex cement itself as a material east coast natural gas producer, committed to delivering essential energy for life.

Ian has held senior roles in Australia’s natural gas industry over the past 20 years, including with BG Group and Queensland Gas Company (QGC), playing an integral role in the realisation of Queensland’s LNG industry.

He is a passionate advocate for Australia’s natural gas industry and its role in ensuring reliable energy and national security for Australia and its allies. He has held leadership roles as both Director and Chair of Australian Energy Producers (previously APPEA) since 2018.

Ian was previously an investment banker with Barclays Capital in London and a corporate tax advisor within the mining and energy division of PwC and is married with three children.
