The main conference charity this year is Tjindu Foundation . Tjindu Foundation is a not‑for‑profit organisation based in South Australia that works to create positive, long‑term outcomes for Aboriginal young people through three interconnected pillars: education, culture, and wellbeing. Tjindu supports young people through integrated programs that strengthen education and employment pathways, cultural identity and connection, and health and wellbeing.
Through initiatives such as the Tjindu Aboriginal AFL Academy, Tjindu STRONG, Tjindu Thrive, and cultural education and awareness programs, the foundation works alongside communities, schools, and partners to empower Aboriginal youth for future opportunities. Tjindu also integrates health and wellbeing support into its programs, including access to medical check‑ups, counselling, and culturally informed wellbeing services.
As part of an ongoing conference tradition, Australian Energy Producers will once again Pay It Forward by replacing individual speaker gifts with charitable donations to one of three nominated charities.
In addition to Tjindu Foundation, the other charities supported in 2026 are Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, the leading community‑based organisation and peak national body dedicated to funding prostate cancer research, raising awareness, and providing support for men and their families; and The Zahra Foundation a not‑for‑profit organisation empowering women to achieve safety and economic independence after experiences of violence, through tailored programs, services, education, and grants.
