CareFlight is an aeromedical charity founded in 1986 with a mission to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community.
They tailor solutions to meet the most complex requirements, evidenced by over 37 years supporting clients and ensuring the best possible patient outcomes.
With over 600 staff, an integrated fleet of aircraft, a road fleet (dedicated to patient transport services), a first-class team of clinical educators, and an agile logistics operation supported by two 24/7 dedicated operations centres in Darwin and Sydney; CareFlight offers a seamless end-to-end clinical operation for clients and can create customised offerings to best suit specific needs. Their doctors and nurses are specially trained in emergency, trauma, pre-hospital and remote medicine. This means their crews can start treating severely ill and injured people who need emergency treatment at the scene of a trauma incident, or when they are in remote locations, far from a hospital.
CareFlight has been providing Remote Operations Clinical Support to the Energy and Resources sector for over 10 years. Over this time, providing a range of tailored health and emergency services to some of Australia’s most complex and remote projects. CareFlight’s model of operation brings “the hospital emergency department to the patient”, resulting in earlier patient intervention and improved outcomes.
Careflight’s Remote Operations Clinical Support (ROCS) includes:
