Steven Callaghan

Steve Callaghan is the General Manager of Finance with Chevron Australia Pty Ltd based in Perth. Chevron Australia is a global natural gas supplier, and operator of oil production, LNG, condensate, and domestic gas assets in Western Australia. Steve completed his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree in Edith Cowan University Perth Australia and is a CPA. His twenty-two-year career with Chevron spans various Finance and Management roles across the USA, Indonesia, Australia and most recently the Philippines where he was the General Manager of Chevron Holdings Incorporated (CHI), as GM CHI he was responsible for managing the 1,600+ person multi-functional shared service centre.

 

Patricia Fesser

Managing Director, Australasia
SLB

Patricia Fesser is currently the Managing Director of SLB in Australasia, a position she assumed in July 2020, shaping the companies interests across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste. She graduated in Petroleum Engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and further with a Master’s Program Degree from Heriot Watt University from the Business and Petroleum Engineering Schools. She is currently based in Perth, West Australia.
She began her career with Schlumberger in 2001 as a Reservoir Engineer in Caracas, Venezuela. Since then, she has held management positions across multiple business lines and functions, such as Vice President of Software Integrated Solutions in South America, Global HR Manager of Software Integrated Solutions, Managing Director of Colombia & Peru and Managing Director of Eastern Atlantic in Canada.

She has held a variety of professional assignments for Schlumberger in a broad geography which includes Europe, South America, Africa, North America Offshore and Russia.

Patricia’s top priority is People as she considers that they are a key factor for the success of SLB operations driving high performance and technology innovation sustainably for a balance planet.

 

Ali Moore

Journalist and Broadcaster

Ali Moore has more than 30 years experience as a journalist and broadcaster, working for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Australia’s Nine Network, and for the BBC’s global news network, based in Singapore. She has covered major news and current affairs events across the region, including as the ABC’s China Correspondent in Beijing. Ali is a former Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow at the University of Melbourne, producing and presenting the ‘This is Not A Drill’ series of hypotheticals with Asialink, the ABC and the Wheeler Centre. She is now a freelance broadcaster and journalist, and program host on ABC Radio Melbourne.

 

Jane Norman

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Cooper Energy

Jane has worked and studied in Australia and the UK and brings 30 years of industry experience in the energy markets. She began her career with Shell International Exploration & Production as a Process Engineer in operations and then as a Commercial Advisor in The Hague, Aberdeen and London.

Subsequently, in London, Jane held corporate finance and equity capital markets roles with Cazenove & Co (now JP Morgan Cazenove) and Goldman Sachs.

Jane returned to Australia to join Santos where she held senior commercial, corporate strategy and Executive Committee roles. She led major strategic initiatives at Santos and played a key role in Santos’ growth strategy, in particular the merger with Oil Search.

During her time at Santos Jane helped drive the transformation of company performance – helping to establish the growth strategy focused on cash generation and shareholder returns and, more recently, the company’s energy transition strategy. Jane holds a Bachelor of Science (Pure Mathematics and Chemistry) and Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Management and Economics of Natural Gas (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. Jane is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

 

Paul Richards

Head of Resources, Energy & Infrastructure
ANZ Banking Group Limited

Paul Richards is Head of Resources, Energy & Infrastructure at ANZ. Paul has responsibility for leading a team of specialist bankers across ANZ’s global network and delivering solutions to ANZ’s largest customers in these segments. Paul joined ANZ in 1993 and has previously held roles including Acting Head of Project & Export Finance, and Head of Structured Export Finance and Renewables. He has extensive Australian domestic as well as international experience via previous postings in London, Tokyo and Singapore.

Paul holds a Bachelors degree in Economics (Economics & Finance) from the University of NSW.

 

Joshua Stabler

Josh Stabler is a highly energetic, passionate and respected Managing Director of Energy Edge.
